How We Do It
Can I put extra luggage in the crate with my motorcycle?
YES, Space is limited but most times there will be a little room for extras.
What are the pros and cons of crated vs noncrated freight in the lower 48 states?
Freight time in the lower 48 states is faster crated. However the crated units must deliver to a business that is equipped with a forklift. Noncrated units take between 10 and 14 days from the time of pick-up. Non crated units can be picked up at any location and delivered to any location. Price is usually around the same.
What if my bike is damaged in transit.
KGM will repair any damage incurred due to the crating or any damage incurred as a result of our work. Freight damage will be handed through the freight company that hauled the motorcycle.
When will I need to bring my bike in?
This depends on when you want your bike to arrive at its final destination. Alaska and Hawaii freight ships on Wednesday and Friday and takes approximately 10 days to get there. We will also need about 2 days to get your bike ready for its trip. Crated freight on the west coast takes between 3 and 5 days. Crated freight to the mid west or east coast will take approximately 10 to 14 days.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, the Mecca of Motorheads

The mother of all parties.... Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, the Mecca of Motorheads. Arrive in Rapid City, pick up your bike and make the short ride to Sturgis. Let the party begin! You'll see it all at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, wild people, wild bikes and wild times. During the day put on lots of sunscreen and visit the hundreds of vendors selling there wares on the street. You'll find some pretty neat stuff for you and your ride. Get a little tired and thirsty, stop by one of the many old time saloons for a cool one and a rest. When the sun goes down, I don't know how to describe it, you'll have to go experience it for yourself.

Sturgis Rally - Playmates to Hells Angels

All I can say is that the Sturgis Rally is an exhibitionist's dream-come-true. If you dressed and acted like this back home, people would stop and stare at you - glare at you. Some would probably call the cops.

During rally week you'll be in a place unlike any other in the World. There are more Harley Davidsons and bikers converged here than anywhere else on the Planet.

They come from many countries and all over the United States. There is everything here. Burned out Greasers, Peter Fonda, people so stoned they don't know where they are , attorneys in the upper income tax bracket, dope dealers who should be, factory workers, lonely women, and women who will never be lonely.

All of them have one thing in common - the fun and craziness of the Sturgis Rally.
